I've been giving presentation on Native people to students in classrooms since 1970.
I began as a young man 30 years ago, with the intent of raising cross cultural awareness as a means of reversing the state of discrimination, which existed for Native people at that time.
In the years since, I've developed presentations for all ages and learning levels to educate about the Native American experience. I design and implement standard Native American presentations, which reflect Native people well in the classroom.
Over the years, as a result of the family needs of my children, I developed extensions on the basic theme of Native American Studies by creating technically oriented programs with a Native American topical emphasis.
The first of these evolved in the late 1980s' and early 1990s' as the Generations audio production training services
Another of these, which evolved in the early and mid 1990s', was the Path Finder Outdoor Education Program
Focus on my children in the development and implementation of both of these programs provided them with valuable knowledge and skills, as well as opportunities to direct their talents and energies.
Thankfully for me, my children have always demonstrated a keen interest in actively taking part in our enterprise and where ever it may lead us. Now that they're all grown up and some started families of their own, their interest and input is particularly valuable.
Currently at Two Elk Enterprises, we're evolving ways of integrating the knowledge of our experience in educational services with educational technologies to develop state of the art educational products. First we determine how and where this may be applicable, then identify which technologies are most effective for each of our areas of expertise.
We've learned so much regarding Native Studies and student/teacher interests and needs in this area. Now we've created these online services to share with you, the students and teachers, some of what we've learned.
